WOLFEBORO — Makers Mill will host a fabric painting workshop with visiting artist Norma de Beer from Cape Town, South Africa, on Wednesday, Oct. 8, 1-3 p.m. Participants will learn the basics of design and fabric painting with acrylic paints, exploring color mixing, painting techniques, and how to set and preserve their artwork. Everyone will go home with a hand-painted wine bag or kitchen towel — perfect for holiday gifting.
This small-group class (maximum six participants) will be taught by instructor de Beer, an accomplished artist working across watercolor, oils, ceramics, and textiles. She will be assisted by her daughter-in-law, Aynne de Beer, Makers Mill staff member and fiber arts instructor.
