HOLDERNESS  Scott A. Wolf, a physician executive with more than three decades of healthcare leadership experience, has launched NorthWolf Advisory, an independent healthcare leadership advisory firm dedicated to helping healthcare organizations develop stronger leaders, strengthen executive teams and navigate organizational change with confidence.

Healthcare organizations today face complex and compounding demands. Workforce shortages, physician burnout, financial pressures, evolving care models and increasing regulatory complexity have made leadership one of the defining challenges in modern healthcare.

NorthWolf Advisory provides executive coaching, physician leadership development, executive retreats and strategic healthcare advisory services for hospitals, health systems, physician organizations and healthcare executives seeking practical guidance grounded in real-world leadership experience.

Wolf’s career has spanned nearly every level of healthcare leadership. He has served as president of Southern New Hampshire Health, president of Mercy Medical Center, vice president of operations and chief physician executive for Lee Health, chief medical officer and chief operating officer within regional health systems, and most recently as a physician executive with Berkeley Research Group, advising healthcare organizations across the country on performance improvement, physician enterprise strategy, mergers and acquisitions, ambulatory strategy, value-based care and organizational transformation.

Wolf earned his doctor of osteopathic medicine from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine and a master of public health from the University of Connecticut. He holds dual bachelor’s degrees with honors in biology and psychology from Union College. He is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and an International Coaching Federation Certified Executive Coach, bringing together clinical expertise, executive leadership and evidence-based coaching to help healthcare organizations develop leaders prepared for today’s challenges.

"Throughout my career, I’ve learned that healthcare organizations rarely struggle because they lack talented people. They struggle when talented people aren’t given the leadership development, support and guidance they need to succeed," said Wolf." NorthWolf Advisory was created to help organizations invest in their leaders, strengthen their cultures and build teams capable of navigating whatever comes next."

The firm’s name reflects a philosophy that has guided Wolf throughout his career.

"The idea behind NorthWolf Advisory is simple. Every leader needs a true north — a clear sense of purpose and values that guides decisions when the path forward isn’t obvious. My role is to help leaders find that direction, build trust within their organizations and lead with confidence, even in the most challenging circumstances," he said. "True north isn’t a destination. It’s the direction that guides every decision."

NorthWolf Advisory is an independent healthcare leadership advisory firm. The firm provides executive coaching, physician leadership development, team and dyad coaching, strategic facilitation and clinical strategy advisory services to hospitals, health systems, physician enterprises and healthcare executives nationwide. NorthWolf Advisory is grounded in the belief that leadership capacity is one of healthcare’s most valuable strategic assets.
