LACONIA ― For anyone curious about the relationship between their health and intensifying summer heat, or wondering about the impact of food waste on landfills, join the Lakes Region Climate Café from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 19, to learn about strategies neighbors are exploring in response to a changing climate. Commune-a-Tea will provide space for this second informal gathering of folks who desire to be informed environmental stewards.
Climate Café is locally focused, nonpartisan, and above all welcoming to all. The March 19 event is an open mic occasion for conversation about climate and the environment. Each speaker will have 3-4 minutes to share their piece of the climate puzzle solution. Informal discussion will follow.
Commune-a-Tea offers a menu of soups, small plate items, and hot and cold beverages, and will be on hand to take your order throughout the event.
The location is 653 Main St. For more information, contact Martha Kruse, event organizer, at muff@metrocast.net.
