HOLDERNESS — Squam Lakes Natural Science Center is excited to announce Howl-O-Ween on Saturday, Oct. 24. Families are invited to celebrate Halloween with a wild twist through a day of wildlife, hands-on activities, and seasonal fun.
Guests can meet fascinating nocturnal animals during live presentations and participate in hands-on Halloween crafts and activities throughout the day. Along the Live Animal Exhibit Trail, visitors can see the Science Center’s resident animals enjoying pumpkin-themed enrichment, offering a fun opportunity to see how wildlife responds to new and seasonal experiences.
Children are encouraged to wear their favorite Halloween costumes and will receive a bag of Halloween treats to take home after their visit. With opportunities to explore, create, and connect with the natural world, Howl-O-Ween offers a fun-filled Halloween experience for the whole family.
“We love to see everyone in their Halloween costumes walking around the trail and celebrating this wonderful fall festival with all the animals,” said Iain MacLeod, executive director.
Howl-O-Ween is generously sponsored by Service Credit Union, Lake Life Realty, and Tootsie Roll Industries.
Admission to Howl-O-Ween is included with regular trail admission. The Live Animal Exhibit Trail is open from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., with the last trail admission at 3:30 p.m. For more information, visit nhnature.org.
