SANDWICH  April is poetry month, and to celebrate, the Friends of Samuel H. Wentworth Library is presenting a reading by Sandwich poet Page Coulter.

Coulter will read from her seventh published book of poetry, “Call it a Mountain,” illustrated by Susan Lirakis. Lirakis is a local photographer, who recently published a book of photographs of three generations of women in Sandwich.

Coulter has written poetry all her life. Many of her poems have been published separately in poetry journals. She has taught poetry for many years in schools in New Haven and Guilford, Connecticut. Since moving to Sandwich in 2003, she has been holding poetry and writing workshops weekly.

This reading is on Tuesday, April 14, starting at 5:30 p.m. Light refreshments will be served.
