PLYMOUTH — The Pemigewasset Valley Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution participated in this year’s Sandwich Fair with an educational booth celebrating the 200th Anniversary of Lafayette’s Farewell Tour. Visitors enjoyed interactive displays, historical maps, a special presentation book, and volunteers in authentic colonial dress, bringing early American history to life for fairgoers of all ages.
This year’s fair dates also coincided with the national DAR Day of Service on Oct. 11, which marks the anniversary of the organization’s founding. Chapters across the country took part in meaningful service projects, including the restoration of historic cemeteries, honoring first responders, supporting food banks, and contributing to local school programs.
