LACONIA — The Lakes Region Chamber celebrated the new ownership of Garden Island Laundromat & Tanning with a festive ribbon cutting ceremony at the business’s location in the Eight Gables Plaza, 585 Union Ave. in Laconia.

The celebration brought together customers, local business leaders, Chamber members, and representatives from the City of Laconia for a fun and memorable event. Complete with bubbles and plenty of “sudsy” spirit, the ribbon cutting officially welcomed new owner Joseph DeFabrizio, along with his wife and two children, as they proudly cut the ribbon and marked the beginning of this exciting new chapter.

Garden Island Laundromat & Tanning is Laconia’s locally owned, family-operated destination for clean, convenient, and affordable laundry and tanning services. Since 2012, the business has been committed to serving the community with the best prices in town, a clean and welcoming environment, and attentive customer service with someone always on-site to help.

“Here, you’re not just another customer, you’re a neighbor,” said DeFabrizio. “We’re proud to continue the tradition of being Laconia’s hometown laundromat while investing in upgrades and customer-first service for the Lakes Region community.”

Under the new ownership, Garden Island Laundromat & Tanning continues to provide modern, high-efficiency equipment and a bright, welcoming atmosphere designed to make laundry simple and stress-free for busy families, local businesses, seasonal residents, and visitors enjoying the Lake Winnipesaukee area.

Services include Wash-Dry-Fold Service, Commercial Wash-Dry-Fold, Bulb Tanning and Mystic Spray Tanning.

As a proud Rally Patron sponsor during Laconia Motorcycle Week, Garden Island Laundromat & Tanning also welcomes riders to drop off laundry between rides and pick it up freshly folded later — offering quick turnaround and fresh gear during the rally or tan while you wait.

The Lakes Region Chamber congratulates Joseph DeFabrizio and his family on this exciting milestone and wishes them continued success serving the community.
