LACONIA — The Laconia Kiwanis Club has rescheduled its annual Bike 'n' Board Safety Day to Wednesday, June 24, from 5:45 to 7:45 p.m. at the Laconia Skateboard Park.

The free event offers children an opportunity to learn safe riding skills for bikes, scooters, and skateboards.

New this year, certified instructors from New England Skateboarding will offer skateboard safety lessons at 5:45 p.m. and 6:45 p.m. Participation is limited to 24 students, and advance registration is recommended. Participants are asked to bring their own skateboard and safety gear. A limited number of skateboards and protective equipment will be available for those who need them.

Additional activities include helmet fittings by the Laconia Police Department, bike inspections by MC Cycle, a riding skills course, and prize giveaways.

Walk-ins are welcome. To register, find the Laconia Kiwanis Club on Facebook or text 603-630-5531.
