LACONIA ― The Laconia Friendship Club has released their end-of-year events. All are welcome. Regular meetings are at the Gilford Community Church, Fellowship Hall each Wednesday at 1:30 p.m., with some meetings offsite.
- Oct. 7: Meeting at Country Cook'n at the Lakeside at noon
- Oct: 14: Rebecca Rule will entertain with her Down East humor at 1:30 p.m. at Gilford Community Church
- Oct: 21: Weather with WMUR
- Oct. 28: Halloween party at noon
- Nov. 4: Granite State VNA representative Brooke Noonan will be speaking on "Recipe for a Resilient Brain"
- Nov. 11: "What's Happening in Our Laconia" by Mayor Mike Bordes
- Nov. 18: Thanksgiving dinner at the Brickyard Restaurant at noon
- Nov: 25: No meeting
- Dec: 2: Meeting at the Gilford Library for "What's Up at the Library?"
- Dec: 9: Linda Barry will present what she has discovered about the Titanic
- Dec: 16: Christmas party at noon. Our members bring an unwrapped gift that will be given to residents at the Belknap County Nursing Home to give to their family
