WEIRS BEACH — 603 United hosted their inaugural "FALL IN with 603 United Cornhole Tournament" at the Akwa Marina Yacht Club in Weirs Beach Sept. 24. 603 United is a new nonprofit in the Lakes Region whose mission is to live united and be inclusive. Club members and volunteers provide social inclusion activities for adults with and without intellectual disabilities.
Fifty-two teams with very unique names stepped up to help raise funds for this new nonprofit. Their partner, Wicked Cornhole from Massachusetts, assisted 603 United for the day to ensure every step went off without a hitch. With a fine showing of 200+ participants, volunteers, and spectators, the Akwa Marina Yacht Club provided the perfect setting for everyone to hang out and enjoy the sun and the fun.
Fourteen generous sponsors helped make the tournament possible, with sponsorships ranging from $3,500 to $300. A huge thank you to top sponsors.
