LACONIA — The Colonial Theatre of Laconia, 609 Main St., will welcome the Don McLean 50th Anniversary of “American Pie” tour on Sunday, April 24, at 7:30 p.m. Grammy award honoree, songwriters Hall of Fame member, and BBC Lifetime Achievement Award recipient Don McLean is set to embark on his 2022 American Pie 50th Anniversary tour. Celebrating the 50th anniversary of the iconic song and album, McLean will entertain fans in Laconia, proving that “bye-bye, Miss American Pie” will forever remain a classic staple in American music.
Don McLean has a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame and was inducted into the National Academy of Popular Music Songwriters’ Hall Of Fame in 2004.
