BELMONT — Seven Belmont High School students, along with the School-to-Career Coordinator at BHS, spent the morning at Lakes Region Community College for a "Discovery Day" event in the Electrical Technology program there on Friday, March 25. Hosted by Director of Enrollment Management and Onboarding Shawna Young, as well as Professors Keith Fletcher and Gary Romagnoli, the students toured the classrooms, got an overview of how electricity has three main components — voltage, current, and resistance — and also did a hands-on activity when they were given tools to try their skill at "tube bending." Lunch was provided by the College. The students who attended were: Jamison Gaudette, Jackson Collins, Hunter Stephens, Michael Howes, Jonathan McDonald, Kyle Albert, and Dylan Flanagan.
