Leadership Lakes Region is accepting applications for its 2026–27 program year. Aspiring leaders, professionals, and community-minded individuals who live or work in the Lakes Region are encouraged to apply.

Leadership Lakes Region is a premier community leadership development program, designed to identify, educate, and motivate existing and emerging leaders. Through a series of immersive, monthly, day-long seminars spanning from October to May, cohort members gain an inside look at the critical sectors driving the region, including healthcare, education, local government, economic development, history and culture, and human services.

"Our mission is to build a stronger community by connecting civic-minded individuals with the resources, knowledge, and networks they need to make a lasting impact," said Willow Furey, program coordinator. "The 2026–27 program year promises to offer our participants invaluable networking opportunities, leadership skill-building, and a deep-dive understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities facing the Lakes Region today."

The program is open to a diverse range of participants. While ideal for corporate professionals, LLR strongly encourages applications from small and large business owners, entrepreneurs, and retirees looking for a meaningful pathway to strengthen their local knowledge and impact their community. Anyone with a passion for civic engagement and a desire to make a difference in the region is welcome.

Applications and additional program details are available at leadershiplakesregion.org.

Spaces in the cohort are limited to ensure a high-quality, interactive experience. The deadline for submitting applications is Monday, Aug. 31. Early submission is highly encouraged, and tuition assistance and scholarship opportunities may be available for qualified candidates.
