Sponsored content builds customer confidence in your knowledge about your business.
Also called native advertising or advertorials, sponsored content is embedded within the editorial content of a publication, sharing information with customers on topics on which you're an expert.
The sponsored article shares information about your business or industry, but doesn't necessarily focus on your company.
Think about the topics you might write about if you had a blog on your website. If you already have a blog, those posts are perfectly suited to be used as sponsored content.
Sharing information with your customers that helps them positions you as an expert in your field, and builds trust. It adds value to the service or product you provide by helping your customers be more informed and make better choices.
Use this as an opportunity to help your customers get to know you. What are you most interested in about your industry? What are the most commonly asked questions? These questions may help as a starting point.
Your article will help build brand awareness, and keep you in customers' minds as familiar with the topic.
Remember to treat this article as anything else you'd write, and have someone else read it over before you finalize it.
When thinking about your topics, get creative. You can even create a series that builds upon previous installments.
Think about what visuals you can use to illustrate your topic. Videos can be an effective way to share your information. A short video can reinforce your article.
