LACONIA — The Lakes Region Art Association will meet on Monday, April 20, at the Woodside Building Conference Center at the Taylor Community, 435 Union Avenue, Laconia. The meeting begins at 7 p.m.
Donna Manning, this month's speaker, is a self-taught Lakes Region artist and a native of New Hampshire.
In addition to being an accomplished photographer, Donna works in watercolor, pen and ink, colored pencil and acrylics and has been selling her work for over 40 years. She has exhibited locally in solo as well as group gallery shows.
She will share the ups and downs of her career as an artist accompanied by a slide presentation of a selection of her art works, most of which were commissions.
With her candid, humorous style, Donna will inform and entertain as she shares the ups and downs, twists and turns, challenges and highly rewarding experiences she has encountered over a lifetime as an artist.
The meeting is open to the public.
