Listening Across the Divide: Building Bridges or Walls?

This diverse and balanced panel includes people who may be best known for their politics. But this forum is intended to move beyond divisive partisan debate and dive deeper into issues of free speech and respectful disagreement.


Peter Spanos is a lifelong resident of Laconia. He served three terms in the NH House and is now county commissioner.

Carlos Cardona is a local business owner and father of two. He served on Franklin School Board and has been a candidate for state representative.

Mike Bordes is a resident of Weirs Beach and was recently elected to the N.H. House of Representatives.

Mo Baxley, a resident of Laconia, and former member of the NH House, served as deputy political director for Bernie Sanders presidential campaign.

Gretchen Gandini, a member of Gilford School Board, is a lifelong resident of the Lakes

Moderator is Mike Seymour, a 30-year resident of Laconia who served two terms as mayor and was chair of the school board, and is currently a senior vice president at Bank of New Hampshire.
Hosts are Mayor Andrew Hosmer, Senator Harold French and Daily Sun Publisher Adam Hirshan.
