To The Daily Sun,

I’m Jon Hildreth and I am running for the New Hampshire House in the Democratic primary. As a long-term independent voter, I must run a write-in campaign to be placed on the ballot for the November General Election. I am a native and lifelong resident of Laconia and proud of our city.

As a former business owner and career executive, I want to be a voice for Laconia in Concord. I am asking for your vote as a write-in for the Sept. 10 Democratic primary.

I am running to protect the things that make our state such a treasure. Tourism is the most important industry in New Hampshire, and we need to protect and promote the things that draw visitors to our beautiful state.

Our environment and global warming are a concern that none of us can deny, with extreme weather becoming more prevalent. Every state must do its part to slow and reverse the effects of global warming.

I want to address the attack on public education in New Hampshire. We need to ensure that all students are afforded a quality education and have the ability to succeed in their lives.

I am a long-time supporter of Gunstock and will work to protect our Belknap County Nursing Home, our sheriff’s department and other county services.

I am concerned with the lack of affordable housing in the Lakes Region and the State of New Hampshire. Lack of affordable housing also affects the labor market for our small businesses, which all contribute to our tourism.

I am proud to be endorsed by the bipartisan group, Citizens for Belknap.

If elected, I will always vote in the best interest of the people of Laconia. Hildreth4nh.com.

There are no actual republicans that would be caught dead being part of Citizens for Belknap. Lifelong Laconia people like this deserve places like Mass
