To The Daily Sun,

We wanted to send a big thank you to the couple who paid for our lunch at Franklin’s Soda Shoppe.

After attending Patriot Day ceremonies at the New Hampshire Veteran’s Home we took our “Pop,” who is a resident there, out for lunch. He served in the U.S. Army at the end of WWII. Coincidentally, we were celebrating his 91st birthday.

Pop was quite thrilled that someone would be so thoughtful and generous in their recognition of his service. Despite divisive politics and animosities that test humanity, it is encouraging to know that kind-heartedness still prevails in our fellow citizens.
