LACONIA — A local man who was tased as local police were arresting him a variety of charges remains in the Belknap County Corrections facility after his bail was set.

Michael L. Hann, 30, of 23 Gale Ave., Apt. 4, in Laconia, was arrested Tuesday on a warrant for simple assault (three counts), criminal mischief, reckless conduct, driving after having been deemed an habitual offender, and theft by unauthorized taking. He was brought to Belknap Superior Court Wednesday at which time bail was set at $2,500 cash or surety.

Charging documents filed with the court allege that Hann committed theft by unauthorized taking when he stole a 2002 Ford minivan on July 30. The reckless conduct charge alleges that Hann drove a vehicle while another person was holding on to it, dragging that person and nearly running over him or her with the vehicle’s rear tires.
