City rolls out new sidewalk plow

The Laconia Public Works Department's new sidewalk plow helps with snow removal operations on Main Street earlier this month. The new piece of equipment is capable of plowing and blowing snow and carries more sand to treat sidewalks. In addition, the tractor is small enough to fit on the majority of the city’s sidewalks and low enough to fit under trees and downtown features like the Colonial Theatre marquee. It can also be reconfigured for summer jobs, and will be used to mow roadsides in undeveloped areas of the city, especially hillsides and around guardrails. (Courtesy photo/Laconia DPW)
