HOLDERNESS — The Squam Lakes Association will provide an educational day of water sampling and algae identification on Saturday, March 9, from noon to 2 p.m. The program will get children thinking about the things in the water and give them an inside look at water sampling procedures and a look at microorganisms under a microscope.

The program is designed for children ages eight to 14. Be prepared with cold-weather clothing and boots with lots of extra layers, as well as water and some snacks. Layers should consist of articles that can be taken off or added on to stay warm and dry.

For more information, or to sign up, visit www.squamlakes.org, or call 603-968-7336.
