CONCORD — Richard F. Booth, 85, longtime resident of Yarmouth, Massachusetts, died on Friday, Sept. 15, 2017, at the Concord Hospice House.

Richard was born on May 19, 1932, in Quincy, Massachusetts, the son of the late William H. and Dorothy (Foss) Booth.

Richard worked as an accountant for Shell Oil and New Hampshire Ball Bearing He was also employed by the Dennsion Company in Framingham, Massachusetts.

He was a deacon at the West Yarmouth Congregational Church. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge and a treasurer for the Plantation Beach Association.

Richard enjoyed sailing, but most of all enjoyed spending time with his family.

Richard is survived by his wife of 63 years, Alicia (Curtis) Booth; a son, Jonathan Booth of Laconia; a daughter, Karen Leary and her husband John “Jay” of Holliston, Massachusetts; four grandchildren, Michael Booth, Matthew Booth, Daniel Leary, and Ashlee Thompson and her husband Derek; a brother, David Booth and his wife Shirley of Medfield, Massachusetts. He also leaves behind his companion dog, Brownie.

In addition to his parents he was predeceased by two sons, Richard F. Booth Jr. and Robert C. Booth.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, Sept. 23, from noon to 1:30 p.m. at the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant St., Laconia, using the Carriage House entrance. A memorial service will follow at 1:30 p.m., also at the funeral home.
