FRANKLIN — Health care professionals from local health clinics, doctors' offices, long-term care centers and care managers from local hospitals attended a recent meet-and-greet event at Franklin VNA & Hospice. The event was intended to facilitate communication between providers and the Franklin VNA & Hospice staff.

“Strong communication between health care providers helps empower all of us," said Barbara Normandin, executive director of the Franklin VNA & Hospice. "If we have a patient with a complex issue, or multiple barriers to care, this communication is key to strategies in overcoming those barriers. Having the chance to meet these providers in person opens those lines of communication.”

Located at 75 Chestnut St., Franklin, the organization plans to hold the event again to "continue to strengthen the care network that supports our patients,” according to Normandin.
