TILTON — As Halloween approaches, kids start dreaming of endless mountains of candy and fun costumes, while parents think about how to keep their trick-or-treaters safe from harm as they roam the neighborhood streets. U.S. Cellular has some tips on how to use smartphones to boost Halloween safety and make it "fangtasticly" fun. In addition to important safety apps, there are some frighteningly good apps that adults can download to become more creative and a better ghostbuster at the same time.

U.S. Cellular will host a device workshop on Wednesday, Oct. 10, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the U.S. Cellular store in Tilton, located at 75 Laconia Road, to find creative ideas for costumes, get Halloween-themed cooking and decorating inspiration, elevate photos, and even keep tabs on kids as they trick or treat. This free event is open to the public.

For more information about the workshop, call 603-286-2388.
