Starting his Flat Track Racing career at the young age of 4 years old, Ben Gloddy has decided to change things up a bit this season and switch over to Mini GP Road Racing in New York and New Jersey. You might remember back in 2015, Ben was the youngest (at 10 years old) and one of only 10 kids in the country invited to participate in the American Supercamp Youth Invitational Flat Track Race by Motion Pro in Las Vegas. Ben, now 11 years old, made the decision last summer when his friend, Shane Narbonne, invited him to attend a New York Mini GP race and practice day at Oakland Valley Race Park in Cuddebackville, NY. Narbonne, a familiar name to motorcycle racing enthusiasts, is the youngest person, at the age of 18, to ever win the Loudon Classic and he is also the only person to ever win the Loudon Classic 5 times!
Over the winter, Ben was selected by Stump Racing Kids to race the 2017 season as one of their primary racers for the youth team. Stump Racing Kids is a private kid's race team based out of New Jersey and is owned by Scott Stump. Retiring back in 2006, Stump is a two-time Harley Davidson 883 Grand National Champion Flat Track Racer who dedicates much of his time helping out and working with up and coming youth racers.
After a fun winter riding locally on the ice with his team, Ben is looking forward to the 2017 race season aboard his Stump Racing Kids Kawasakis at NY Mini GP and NJ Mini GP events.
