The Salvation Army expects to have more than 80 red kettles throughout the state on street corners and shopping areas by mid-November through Saturday, Dec. 23.

Funds raised through the familiar red kettles are vital to The Salvation Army’s programs and services offered year-round. The successful campaign last year raised $703,287, and this year’s statewide goal is $738,451.

The Salvation Army’s Christmas ministry includes the distribution of toys to needy youngsters, food baskets, food vouchers and warm winter coats. Last year, The Salvation Army provided holiday assistance to more than 9,731 individuals.

Throughout the year, 24,300 Granite Staters received general assistance that included oil, electricity, rent, food and clothing.

Donations can know by made by: texting “KETTLE” to 31333; visiting salarmy.us/nneredkettle; using Apple Pay or Google Pay at Salvation Army kettles or scanning a QR code at kettle stands.
