BRISTOL — The Newfound Area Charitable Fund has announced that its ninth annual Run Your Buns Off 4.2 Miler road race will be held Saturday, Sept. 1, in Bristol. The NACF board is now seeking applications from non-profit, charitable organizations from the greater Newfound area that wish to be considered as beneficiaries of the event. The deadline for applications is May 25.

“The NACF is dedicated to assisting local charitable groups and causes that promote wellness, fitness, and health education and activities in the Newfound region,” NACF President Audrey Goudie said. “Since the first Run Your Bun Off road race in 2010, we have given back $59,000 to causes and programs in our community.” Past beneficiaries have included Bristol Community Services, The Jacob Earl Messersmith Memorial Scholarship Fund, the Day Away Program, Newfound Pathways, the Newfound Audubon Center, Voices Against Violence, the Newfound Lake Region Association, the Slim Baker Foundation, the Tapply-Thompson Community Center Youth Council, and the Newfound Regional High School softball scoreboard matching grant program.
