Local DAR chapter welcomes new members
The Mary Butler Chapter DAR in Laconia held their April meeting, featuring special guest NHSODAR State Chaplain Kathleen Sternenberg, pictured above with Regent Adele Bausor. Sternenberg, the state chair of the New Hampshire Daughters of the American Revolution Schools Committee gave a detailed program on the six DAR schools in Massachusetts, North Carolina, South Carolina, Alabama, Kentucky, and Georgia. The chapter also welcomed two new members, Judy Ward and Jo Turbe. Pictured At the recent state meeting the chapter received six awards including Chapter Level 1 recognition. They were also awarded NSDAR national recognition second place for the 50th Anniversary Commemoration of the Vietnam Veterans Committee program held at the Tilton Veterans Home.
