GILFORD — Gilford Public Library has a variety of holiday-themed events coming in December.Â
For the first two weeks of December library staff will be holding a food drive with the aim of helping families have a safe and secure holiday season. For those who contribute, staff will be offering fine forgiveness.
Lani Voivod will be leading a guided yoga class filled with raucous laughter and tensed muscles on Tuesday, Dec. 3, and Wednesday, Dec. 17, at 1 p.m. in the Gilford Public Library. An opportunity to let go of some of the pains and worries that plague people during the holiday season.
The annual holiday Candlelight Stroll will take place Saturday, Dec. 1, Gilford Village. The festivities begin a smidge earlier with a concert by the Community Band at 4 p.m. at the Community Church. Then at 5 p.m., things are happening all across the village — with hot cocoa and other treats along with a craft being hosted at the library. The man himself Santa Claus will be at the Village Fields and horse-drawn carriage rides will be departing from both the library and Rowe House.
