LACONIA — The Lakes Region Creative Aging Center, 17 Church St., Laconia, will host a rug-hooking demo class on Monday, May 21, 10:30-11:30 a.m.. The free class will be taught by Pam Bartlett, owner of The Woolen Pear in Loudon.

Learn the rich history and elements of traditional rug hooking. The artistry and heritage of rug hooking goes all the way back to the 19th century and is a current trend in crafting today.

This is a free demo class for Rug Hooking 1, a beginner level class in which the you will learn the basics of rug hooking to complete the 16 " x 16" pictured project that can be finished into a wall hanging, chair pad, or pillow, with a choice of colors. The dates and times will be determined and gauged from the interest level at the demo.
