The City of Franklin (pop. 8,600) seeks a dynamic, creative, and experienced financial manager to lead the City's Finance Department. The Finance Director is a full-time, department head position responsible for supervising, directing, and managing all administrative and technical aspects of the City’s Finance Department. Under the direction of the City Manager, the Finance Director oversees a $31+ million budget (including schools), directs the daily operations of the office and its personnel. The Director processes, tracks, and reports all financial transactions with the primary goal of ensuring a high degree of accuracy and quality. The Finance Director conducts long-term financial planning and administers the City’s internal control and risk management programs. For a complete job description contact the City Manager’s Office. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a closely related field with at least three year’s supervisory experience in public finance is strongly desired. The City of Franklin offers a competitive benefit package. Salary range $79,976 to $104,957 DOQ/E.
