LACONIA — Harris Family Furniture, one of New Hampshire’s largest furniture and mattress retailers, with locations in Laconia, Plymouth, and Chichester, is getting ready to open its fourth location, in North Conway.

The official opening is set to take place in mid-October.

The new furniture store will showcase the most current and up-to-date brands, styles and colors.

The entire Harris Family Furniture line is professionally selected to fit a wide range of lifestyles and home decors. Every furniture delivery throughout New Hampshire is not only free, but often surpasses customer expectations in speed and service.

Will Harris, vice-president and the fourth generation of Harrises to carry on the family tradition, said, “The completion of this new location will be a huge achievement for the whole Harris Family Furniture team. We are thrilled to open our doors to the town of North Conway and surrounding New Hampshire communities. We are receiving an incredible response to the new store opening — the town is buzzing about having one of the largest independent furniture and mattress retailers in Northern New England come to this great community.”

The opening of the new location will provide local employment opportunities. Harris Family Furniture is first seeking employees with some experience in either the furniture or mattress industry, in addition to interior designers and decorators. There will also be some opportunities for people seeking entry-level positions. Harris Family Furniture is looking for employees who share the belief that furniture is more than just a sofa or a table; it is a piece of one’s identity. It can change your house into a home and creates that special space to entertain family and friends.
