Grappone Toyota of Concord and Toyota USA recently teamed up to provide the Advantage Kids tennis program with a $5,000 grant. Advantage Kids is a tennis and learning program started locally by Bob Ronstadt in 2012.
Advantage Kids free summer tennis programs have been offered in Laconia, Gilford, Meredith, Tilton, and Moultonborough to over 850 children and 90 adults. New this summer are competitive tennis playing for students and a learning component for children to research and learn about professional tennis players.
Advantage Kids has expanded over the past seven years to bring tennis and learning to children not only in the Lakes Region, but across the state.
“Ever since hearing about Bob’s dedication to bringing tennis to kids in the Lakes Region I have tried to find ways to support his efforts," said Amanda Grappone Osmer. "I know how critical a role sports play in kids’ lives and we’re really happy to partner with Bob and Advantage Kids in making tennis more widely available.”
Ronstadt added, "Today we are building a statewide organization that will vastly improve the tennis infrastructure for New Hampshire children, while also providing them learning opportunities in reading, math, science, and physical fitness. This combination, tennis and education, will insure our kids will have the basic skills and values needed to succeed in life, both on and off the tennis court. I want to thank Toyota USA, and especially Amanda Grappone Osmer, for supporting our mission."
