Head of local tree-care business named fund trustee

MEREDITH — Mundy Wilson Piper, president and CEO of Chippers Inc., has been elected to the Board of Trustees for the TREE Fund. She will serve as the special liaison to the Tree Care Industry Association of which she is currently a board member.

The Tree Research and Education Endowment Fund (TREE) Fund awards research grants, education grants and scholarships to advance the fields of arboriculture and urban forestry.

The Tree Care Association develops safety and education programs, standards of tree-care practice, and management information for arboriculture firms around the world. This 80-year-old trade association serves more than 2,200 commercial and affiliated members. Chippers, with officers in Meredith, is a 19-year member and accredited by the association since 2008.
