Autism not holding local entrepreneur back

LACONIA -- Don’t tell Dan Fife he’s limited in what he can achieve, he will prove you wrong.

At an early age, Dan Fife had a list of goals, one of which was to travel to every state in the country. Fife, who is autistic, made quick time of his goal achieving this goal early in life. “I love to travel and see new places”. Fife will be quick to concede that his favorite place is Orlando, Florida, but this year's travels took him from New Orleans to Palms Springs, California, making memories.

Another goal was to be self-employed and own his own business. With his business degree from Plymouth State University, another achievement, Fife tapped into his Lakes Region “celebrity” and launched a travel/entertainment website, called www.gogetfifed.com. “Whenever I meet someone they have become fifed!” Fife’s marketing skills and his website tell all the readers of the events and happenings in the Lakes Region, but he’s not done. “My next goal is to go statewide,” said Fife.

In addition to the website, Fife offers a variety of merchandise, from T-shirts to shot glasses but his next project is near and dear to his heart. This year, Fife has launched a 2018 calendar, “The Life of Fife” with some of the proceeds going to autism charities. “I hope people like my calendar, it’s filled with photos and special days that are important to me.” It’s a full color, glossy calendar of some of Fife’s favorite spots across the state.
