Lakes Region Chamber of Commerce taking nominations for best businesses

Each year, the Lakes Region Chamber of Commerce recognizes businesses for their economic development, construction or improvements in the Lakes Region or Twin Rivers regions at the Annual Awards Luncheon and Membership Meeting. This year's 99th Annual Meeting will be held on Thursday, Jan. 25, in the Winnipesaukee Ballroom at Church Landing in Meredith.

The Chamber is seeking nominations for this year's outstanding organizations that have remodeled, renovated or rebuilt in the 2017 calendar year. Categories for eligible businesses are: retail (large or small); commercial; municipal; industrial; and non-profit.

The Golden Trowel Award recognizes a business for their accomplishments for rehabilitation, addition, new landscaping, maintenance or other visible improvement.
The Golden Hammer Award recognizes an organization for any noticeable construction completed in 2016.
The Environmental Award recognizes a business for efforts and investments to be environmentally friendly, sustainable or green.

The Economic Improvement Awards are prominent recognition. These awards exemplify organizations that have a vested interest in our local economic development and are truly committed to making positive changes in our communities.

Completed forms including a minimum of one photograph may be submitted electronically or mailed to the Lakes Region Chamber of Commerce. Please note that all nominations submitted must be complete with full description plus one photo to be considered.

Deadline for submissions is Dec. 22.
