To submit a letter to the editor, please email us at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. Letters must contain the author's name, hometown (state as well, if not in New Hampshire) and phone number, but the number will not be published. We do not run anonymous letters. Local issues get priority, as do local writers. We encourage writers to keep letters to no more than 400 words, but will accept longer letters to be run on a space-available basis. Editors reserve the right to edit letters for spelling, grammar, punctuation, excessive length and unsuitable content.

To the editor, News reports today say that the U.S. military in Iraq has found $600 million, buried in the wall of one of Mr.Hussein's "palace's". And that this "money" is being held pending research to see if it is "real money" or fake. Allowing for the inability of dictators,and their subordinates to really hide all the "money" skimmed from "monies" delivered in the form of Foreign aid, Military aid and outright grants, there is another problem presented. It often becomes easy to forget all the positive things that come from the effort put forth. Those who don't see what goes on behind the scenes to make it all happen.
