To The Daily Sun,
On Thursday, Oct. 13, from 5 to 9 p.m. the Laconia Professional Firefighters will be hosting a fundraising event at the Holy Grail of the Lakes Restaurant, located at 12 Veterans Square.
This fundraising event will benefit "Operation Warm" which is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that puts warm American-made winter jackets on children right here in our own community.
During this event, your local firefighters will be tending the bar throughout the night. Twenty percent of your total bill will be donated to "Operation Warm" to help us with our fundraising goals. We will also be doing a 50/50 raffle, as well as raffling off several items from various local businesses. A local young talent, Noah Smith, will be performing throughout the evening.
So please come join us on Oct. 13 from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Holy Grail of the Lakes and help us put warm coats on children in our community that may not have a winter jacket.
We are also selling paper coats that you can purchase for a minimum of $1 (no maximum if you wish to donate more) at the following locations: Sal's Pizza, Goody Good Donuts, The Looney Bin and Irwin Automotive Service Department. With your purchase your name goes on the coat and is displayed at the business showing your support.
If you are unable to attend this evening event or purchase a paper coat, you can also make donations online at www.operationwarm.org/laconia1153 or checks can be written out to Laconia Professional Firefighters and in the memo line write "Operation Warm."
Checks can be mailed to: Laconia Professional Firefighters, PO Box 1153, Laconia, NH 03246.
