To paraphrase Alder, I’ve been called worse by better people

To the Daily Sun,

It is both sad and amusing that former county commissioner Dick Burchell, who was soundly ousted from his seat by the voters of his district after one term, has decided to wax poetic and engage in one of his usual attempts at sardonic wit. I am flattered that he has attacked my point of view and come to the defense of his fellow Free Staters regarding the mess they have created in Belknap County.

He has inspired me to quote the inspirational author Shannon L. Alder, who wrote: “Always remember that you have been called worse things by better people.”
