13 ladies are surprised and thankful for person who paid for our breakfast

  • Published in Letters

 To The Daily Sun,

As we approach Thanksgiving and give our thanks for our family and acts of kindness, I would like to give thanks to a stranger who not only paid for my breakfast but also for the 12 other women with me. Such was the case Saturday, the 18th, at Sunshine and Pa’s in Meredith.

We are a group of former Curves members who exercised together for years and now get together once a month for breakfast and catch up on what is going on in our lives. This Saturday was especially nice for the group, as one of our members, who now lives in California, was able to join us. So it was a great surprise that when we were ready to pay for our meal our great server told us that someone had already paid for all of our breakfasts.

So on behalf of all of us, Jane, Annie Ruth, Carolyn, Rita, Pattie, Susan, Robyn, Pat, Ginny, Dawn, Sue, Sally and me, we want to extend our very sincere thank you – you made our day.

And we do wish you a very Happy Thanksgiving.
