Letter Submission

To submit a letter to the editor, please email us at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. Letters must contain the author's name, hometown (state as well, if not in New Hampshire) and phone number, but the number will not be published. We do not run anonymous letters. Local issues get priority, as do local writers. We encourage writers to keep letters to no more than 400 words, but will accept longer letters to be run on a space-available basis. Editors reserve the right to edit letters for spelling, grammar, punctuation, excessive length and unsuitable content.

 

Arms as young as 4, old as 62, participated in championships

To The Daily Sun,

On Oct. 7, at the Paradise Beach Club in Weirs Beach, Granite Arms, an armwrestling team practicing out of Manchester and coached by Badger Drewes, put on the 8th Ronny Bean Classic Armwrestling Championships in memory of Ronny Bean — sponsored by Gilford Home Center. The event brought in 75 arms from Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Isalnd, Connecticut and Vermont. There were kids as young as 4 and adults, men and women, as old as 62 participating. Fun was had by all and a total of $2,445 was raised and will be donated to Bektash Shriners.
