Firefighters thank all for supporting Operation Warm events

  • Published in Letters

To The Daily Sun,

The Laconia Professional Firefighters, in partnership with the Boy’s and Girl’s Club of the Lakes Region, would like to thank the community for the success of the Harlem Wizards basketball game Thursday night. The event is key in allowing the Laconia Professional Firefighters in further helping the community in Operation Warm. Operation Warm allows for the donation of new winter coats to those who need them throughout the community.

We would like to give special thanks to Cynthia Makris of the Naswa Resort for the generous donation of lodging for the Wizards. We would also like to thank David Henrick of Lakeside Roast Beef for his generous donation. Both these gracious donations were paramount in the success of the event.

Please continue to support Operation Warm by buying paper support coats at several local businesses throughout Laconia through Oct. 1. All proceeds go directly towards the purchase of winter coats for children who need them in the community. You can donate at these Laconia locations; Sal’s Pizza, Good Goods Donuts, The Looney Bin, 405 Pub & Grill and The Crazy Gringo. You can also donate at operationwarm.org/laconia1153.
