ADA specifies that accommodations must be made for disabilities

  • Published in Letters

To The Daily Sun,

This morning I opened The Sun and read "ROOM FOR LILA" at the Meredith beach. I'll be watching carefully. Because when I first came to Laconia I was not allowed to use the local pool and was told I was not allowed things that we latter found out were not true. Be very careful because many of us who are now disabled also have learned of our rights with the help of Granite State Independent Living.

The ADA specifies that accommodations must be made for disabilities. The town of Meredith must find out what they need to do to make these accommodations.
