Respect & appreciation for our first responders needs new life

  • Published in Letters

To The Daily Sun,

I would like to support and thank the Laconia firefighters for all that they have accomplished for the city of Laconia. Not only do these wonderful first responders save houses and property, they also save many lives!

This pertains to the number of Narcan saves, the value of which many citizens do not comprehend. If one could speak to a family member whose relative was saved by Narcan, I am sure that one would be more supportive of these good souls who put their lives on the line every day.

Remember when people were very supportive and respectful of all first responders after 9/11? My cousin, Robert T. Lane, was one of the firefighters who died on that day in the Twin Towers. I believe that respect and appreciation for all first responders needs to be resuscitated.
