What claim do Muslim Arabs have for claiming Palestine?

  • Published in Letters

To The Daily Sun,

Oh boy, it's kind of depressing how many uninformed anti-Semites keep piling on Israel.

Janet Simmon states Israeli settlements are illegal. Really? Who says? The U.N., the corrupt, incompetent pack of jackals (apologizes to jackals of the four-legged kind); the World Court, a bunch of hyenas (one step up from the jackals, barely) or Muslim-terrorist-dominated Arabs?

Before Janet starts throwing around legal opinions a little research of history would be in order don't you think? She says she is looking for justice for the "people of Palestine," which begs the question of which people of Palestine? Simple fact is there are no single people of Palestine because Palestine has never, ever been a nation or a culture at any time in recorded history. It has been a province or a territory of one invading conqueror after another for the centuries since the Romans expelled the Jews a couple thousand years ago.

From this age back a thousand years there have been Jews, Arab Muslims and even a few Christians living in Palestine. So who says Jews don't have as much right to it as anyone else?

Back in 1948 the U.N. divided the territory, then under British rule, into three sections. One became the the nation of Jordan. The rest was divided into two parts, one Jewish, the other Arab. Well Muslims refused to sign on to this and launched a five-Muslim-nation attack on the newly created nation of Israel. Israel prevailed to this day while the Muslims began a terror war (as is their typical nature) from that time to this.

So I ask, just what grounds do Muslim Arabs claim any right to anything anywhere in Palestine except for personal property rights? They have no national culture, history or legal standing, so far as common sense can apply, but they keep on killing terrorizing and spreading lies and false history and the oh-poor us, we're victims of the big bad Jews and Americans. Please, gag me with a spoon.

Now just a suggestion for Janet, try reading the letter from Russ Wiles and myself in the same edition of the paper your letter was printed. If you then still hold the same views as you expressed in your letter then I will conclude you are no more then another anti-Semite bigot.
