'Citizen Santa Fund' on pace to set record

According to Citizen Santa Fund coordinator Beth Arsenault, she and her volunteers have already served more families this year than last, and there's still more than a week to go. "We had about 85 families come through today," Arsenault said last evening. "That's now a total of about 400, which is how many we served last year." Still hoping to open in January at old Butson's location

Some new exterior siding has been installed and primed, all the old equipment and shelving discarded, and the aging and scarred floor tiling removed at the former Butson's store on South Main Street.
