Gilford PD hosts open houses

The Police Department will hold two open houses to enable residents to tour the department as well as view informational material and floor plans for the new police station that has been recommended by the Facility Planning Committee. CIP Public Hearing on Oct. 26

The Capital Improvements Program (CIP) Committee will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, October 26 at 7 p.m. in City Hall, Room 200A to gather the views of residents and groups about capital improvements throughout the city. City departments must submit all requests for expenditures of more than $10,000 to the CIP Committee for its review and recommendation. CAP cadets given Mitchell award

Two cadet members of the Laconia-based Hawk Composite Squadron of the New Hampshire Civil Air Patrol have been honored with the General Billy Mitchell Award. As a result, Cadet Lauren C. Joyce of Moultonborough and Cadet John Mensch of Sandwich have been promoted to the rank of Cadet 2d Lieutenant.
