The Gilford boys' tennis team raised their record to 7-0 after two wins this week.
On Monday, the Golden Eagles defeated Berlin, 8-1. Winning their singles matches were Andrew Caulfield, Bryce Workman, Grant Workman, Nolan Dwyer, and Brad Bergman. The Eagles swept the doubles: Caulfield/G. Workman, Dwyer/Bergman, and Marek Blais/Sam Shafique all won.
Tuesday's match was a rematch of last year's finals. Gilford beat Bow, 5-4, in an exciting, well-played match. Andrew Caulfield, Grant Workman, and Nolan Dwyer won their matches as the teams split the singles. Caulfield/G. Workman won at first seed doubles, Bow won the second doubles, setting the stage for the decisive third doubles. Dwyer/Bergman played very well, winning, 8-0.
The team is off until next week when they travel to Kearsarge on Monday, host Monadnock Tuesday, and travel to Sanborn on Thursday. All matches start at 4 p.m.
