Lakes Region Babe Ruth Baseball League now taking on-line registrations

LACONIA – The Armand J. Laramie Babe Ruth Baseball League is accepting online pre-registration for the 2014 season on its newly created website:

www.ajlbaberuth.com

Registration drop off times will be Wednesday and Friday Evenings from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Laconia Community Center on Union Avenue in Laconia.

All games will be played at Memorial Park in Laconia and teams will be made up of Lakes Region 13-15 year-olds. The new website will be a central location for rosters, schedules, standings and statistics. For those who register online, communication tools will send email or text reminders of game schedules.

A number of local businesses have answered the call to sponsor teams: Aavid Thermalloy; Brookside Pizza; Cantin Chevrolet; Giguere Electric; Irwin Automotive Group, and Piche's Ski and Sports Shop. League and banner sponsorships are also available and appreciated by other businesses such as Pike Industries.

Fundraising efforts are also appreciated from individuals through a newly created "Friends of Armand J Laramie Babe Ruth League".

The 2014 season is slated to get underway on May 17 with an opening day. All interested ball players are urged to register right away so that league organizers can set the team structure and finalize the schedule. Players from the towns of Laconia, Gilford, Belmont, Gilmanton, Gilmanton Iron Works, Louden, Barnstead, Center Barnstead, Canterbury, and Pittsfield are eligible to play.
