To The Daily Sun,I have been asked repeatedly to share the opinion of the Downtown Laconia residents, employees, customers and merchants about parking, in my capacity as president of the Laconia Main Street Initiative. LACONIA — Alec Walker of Laconia, a member of the Boston College Class of 2016, has been awarded a prestigious J. William Fulbright grant, a coveted post-baccalaureate study/research/teaching award given annually to the nation's best and brightest college students. Verna P. Moulton, 87 LACONIA — Verna Priscilla (Donovan) Moulton, 87, died at the Belknap County Nursing Home in Laconia on June 18, 2016. Verna was born on Feb. 2, 1929, in Four Falls, Victoria, New Brunswick. She was the daughter of Zean and Pearl (Scott) Donovan. In the early 1940s Verna and her family relocated to the Northumberland-Lancaster area where she lived until 1957 when she married Reginald Moulton and moved to the Northfield and Franklin area.
